Senior Moments program that hits very close to home with our family. My dad is the one who spent many hours in the saddle riding with me on trails, teaching me how to train and over all horse-ranch work. We have seen joy to many of our clients faces when they come in contact with these beautiful animals.
The program is designed to help those individuals who have developed Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other forms of memory loss. We currently partner with long term care facilities in the county who bring clients to us when the weather allows. Some clients enjoy riding, while others engage in ground work with the horses, such as grooming, riding as they progress during the sessions, and/or interacting with our other ranch animals. We do not charge for our Senior Moments program and work with sponsors to cover the fees for our clients to enjoy and relive memories of their youth with horses. |
